Your phone saves the file like any other download.
Android asks once if your browser may install apps. Tap Settings, turn on "Allow from this source", then go back.
Open the downloaded file and tap Install. Samgeet appears on your home screen.
Questions
Is it really free?
Yes. No ads and no subscription, and the code is open source under the MIT licence.
Do I need an account?
No. You can listen as a guest. Signing in syncs your library across phones and lets you share playlists.
Which phones does it work on?
Android 7.0 or newer. Play Protect may warn because it is not from the Play Store; choose "Install anyway".
Does it work on iPhone?
Not yet. Samgeet is Android-only for now.
For developers
- An on-device taste profile learns from likes, skips and full plays, and feeds a pure ranking recommender for autoplay
- Library sync across phones; the password is stretched with PBKDF2 on the phone, so the server only ever stores a hash
